Hey - I'm Kaitlyn!
As a board-certified OB/GYN sonographer with several years of experience, I’ve had the joy of capturing precious first glimpses of little ones. I absolutely love seeing the excitement and wonder that comes with watching a baby grow, and I wanted to create something truly special, an experience that allows you to cherish and celebrate this beautiful journey to parenthood!​

Over the years, both as a healthcare professional and a patient, I’ve experienced the emotions that can come with waiting for an appointment, whether it’s for reassurance or just a routine check-in. I also understand that not everyone can always be there for those special moments, whether it’s a partner, family member, or close friend. While this service isn’t a replacement for medical care, my hope is to offer something that brings comfort and joy, giving expectant parents a chance to bond with their little one and allowing loved ones to share in the experience in a relaxed and meaningful way.

How This Works
To schedule an appointment, simply contact us via the contact form below, email, or Instagram. We recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred day and time. A $30 non-refundable deposit is due to secure your appointment, which is applied towards the overall fee.

I bring the magic of ultrasound right to your home, creating a cozy and intimate experience for you and your loved ones. Most people choose to relax on their couch while I set up my mobile ultrasound device in the living room. If you have a smart TV, I can even connect my device so you can see your little one on the big screen - making it a truly special moment to share!

Plan for us to spend about an hour together, giving us plenty of time to get comfortable and enjoy the experience. The actual scan typically lasts between 10 to 20 minutes, depending on how far along you are. To help capture the clearest and most beautiful images possible, I'll send you some simple prep instructions beforehand.

And don’t worry, if for any reason we can’t get a good view, I offer a free rescan so we can try again at a later date. My goal is to make this experience as exciting, stress-free, and memorable as possible for you!

Bumble Baby Ultrasound is perfect for those expecting who want a special, non-diagnostic bonding experience with their baby before birth. If you’re excited to see your baby’s movements, heartbeat, facial expressions, or even find out the gender this is for you! It’s also great for family members who want to share in the joy of pregnancy who have not had the chance to come to a doctors appointment.

Who is this not for?
Bumble Baby Ultrasound is not a replacement for medical ultrasounds or prenatal care. If you need a diagnostic scan to check for medical conditions, fetal growth concerns, or other health-related factors or concerns, you should consult your healthcare provider. We do not provide medical reports or assessments, our focus is on providing a bonding experience for you and your loved ones.

Policies
Please be advised that ultrasounds are only performed for individuals under the care of a licensed physician or midwife. This is an elective ultrasound and is not intended to replace any medical care. All clients are required to provide documentation confirming they are under the care of a physician or midwife. We do not perform medical or diagnostic ultrasounds. However, should we observe any potential abnormalities, we will promptly contact your medical provider for further evaluation.

A signed waiver and $30 non-refundable booking deposit is required before your appointment.
Please try to allow us at least 48 hours notice for cancellations. Any cancellation less than 24 hours prior to the appointment may be subject to a $50 late cancellation fee.

FAQ
Q: Is this covered by insurance?
No. Unfortunately, insurance acceptance/reimbursement is not provided for elective ultrasounds. We accept major debit/credit cards.
Q: Will you tell me if my baby is healthy?
We cannot provide any info on the health, growth, or well being of your baby. That is assessed during a diagnostic medical ultrasound at your doctor’s office, where they will measure baby, assess fetal well being, growth/development and scan for any abnormalities. Our services are purely for entertainment, keepsake & bonding purposes. They are never a replacement for a diagnostic medical ultrasound.
Q: Do you charge extra for twins/multiples?
Q: Will I always get a good picture of my baby?
No extra fees for multiples, but your scan time may be extended
Usually, but not always. Sometimes if the baby is persistently looking face down, i.e. towards your spine it may be difficult to see the baby’s face. If this happens, a repeat scan can be scheduled. We make no promises that the images will be similar to those you might have seen elsewhere, or that we can always meet everyone’s expectations. Every baby scans differently, depending on its gestational age, position, amount of fluid, and mother’s condition. We promise to make every effort to obtain the best possible images of whatever parts of the baby that can be seen.
Q: Can you tell me the sex of my baby?
Yes, in most cases we can provide an indication/best guess of the sex of the baby starting around 16 weeks. We can’t however guarantee that the baby will cooperate during your session. Certain factors such as body tissue content, developmental stage and fetal position all affect the ability to determine sex. Alternatively, you can choose to not to know the sex.
Q: Do I need a doctors note?
You do not need a note from your doctor, but you must be under prenatal medical care and provide your providers information at booking.
Q: Do you offer 3D/4D?
Not at this time, but planning for the future!
Q: Can we listen to my babies heartbeat?
Yes, starting in your second trimester only. Ultrasound Doppler is considered less safe in the first trimester because it uses more energy than regular ultrasounds, which can cause a slight increase in temperature. Since a baby’s organs and tissues are still developing in those early weeks, too much heat could potentially affect growth. While the risk is small, we prefer to be extra cautious and limit Doppler use unless absolutely necessary.
